How machine work is scheduled

Every hour a machine is down has a number attached to it. We plan the outage backwards from that.

  1. 1
    Machine specs and capacity

We read the equipment documentation, verify voltage and phase, and check whether your service and distribution can carry it.

  2. 2
    Layout and routing

Conduit routes, disconnect locations and working clearances planned with your operations and safety requirements.

  3. 3
    Prep before shutdown

Everything that can be installed energized gets done first, so the shutdown window covers only the tie-in.

  4. 4
    Tie-in and startup

Connection, rotation check, overload settings verified, and we stay through startup with your equipment tech.

Machinery Wiring FAQs

Machinery wiring questions

Do you provide temporary power during a relocation?+

Where the layout allows it, yes. Temporary feeders or a phased move keep part of the floor producing while the rest is being reconnected. We plan that in the proposal.

Our new machine is 480V and our building is 208V. Now what?+

That means a step-up transformer and new distribution, or a service change depending on total load. It is common with imported equipment, and it is much cheaper to find out before the machine is on the floor.

How do you handle production downtime?+

We work weekdays, 8 to 5, and plan the shutdown window with your team ahead of time. Prep, staging and pre-fabrication happen before the line goes down so the actual outage stays as short as possible.

Do you handle motor rotation and overload settings?+

Yes. Rotation is verified before the machine is loaded, and overloads are set to the nameplate rather than left at a default that either nuisance trips or fails to protect.

Can you wire equipment the manufacturer is commissioning?+

Regularly. We bring power to the disconnect and coordinate the final connection and startup with their technician so neither of us is standing around waiting.
