Electrical rough-in with new circuits during a home remodel
Remodel Electrical

Remodel and renovation electrical in Salt Lake & Davis County

Kitchens, basements, primary suites, additions and ADUs wired from rough-in through trim-out. We hold the schedule your GC gave you and we do not disappear between inspections.

Licensed & insured

Utah licensed electrical contractor with Master-level scoping on every project.

Diagnostics first

We test and prove the fault before anything gets replaced, so you pay for the fix.

Scheduled around you

Clear arrival windows Monday through Friday, 8 to 5, and a crew that cleans up.

Permits handled

Permits, utility coordination and inspection sign-off taken care of for you.

Remodel Electrical

Wired for the space you are actually building

Layouts planned around cabinet runs, island seating, appliance specs and lighting scenes, so you are not adding circuits after the tile goes in.

Kitchen Remodels

Small-appliance circuits, island and peninsula receptacles, under-cabinet lighting, hood, disposal and range circuits.

Basement Finishes

Full rough-in for bedrooms, baths, wet bars and theaters, including egress lighting and smoke and CO placement.

Additions & ADUs

Subpanels, feeders, separate metering where required, and complete rough-in for accessory dwelling units.

Lighting Design Support

Layered can, cove, accent and task lighting laid out with your designer, plus dimmer compatibility that actually works.

Panel Capacity Checks

We verify the existing service can carry the remodel before rough-in, not after the inspector asks.

Permits & Inspections

Rough and final inspections coordinated with the city so your other trades keep moving.

How we work on a remodel

Remodel electrical is a scheduling job as much as a wiring job. We show up when framing is ready, not two weeks later.

  1. 1
    Plan walk

We walk the plans or the space with you and the GC, mark device and fixture locations, and flag conflicts with mechanical and plumbing.

  2. 2
    Rough-in

Boxes, home runs, low voltage, fixture support and panel work, completed in one push so drywall is not waiting on us.

  3. 3
    Rough inspection

We meet the inspector, handle corrections same day where possible, and keep your schedule intact.

  4. 4
    Trim and final

Devices, fixtures, dimmers, plates and final inspection, followed by a walkthrough on switching and scenes.

Remodel Electrical FAQs

Remodel electrical questions

Will my remodel trigger a panel upgrade?+

Sometimes. Adding a kitchen, a basement bath and a hot tub to a 100A service usually does. We run the load calculation during the plan walk so it is in the budget from the start instead of showing up as a change order.

Do you work directly with general contractors?+

Yes, and we also work direct for homeowners acting as their own GC. Either way you get one point of contact who is actually on the job.

How far in advance should I schedule?+

Two to four weeks for rough-in is typical, and sooner during the busy season. If your framing date moves, tell us early and we will move with it.

Can you match existing devices and finishes?+

Yes. We match device color, plate style and dimmer families so the new work does not look bolted on. Tell us the finish and we will spec to it.

Do basement finishes need AFCI protection?+

Yes, current code requires AFCI protection for most habitable-space circuits, plus GFCI in baths, wet bars and unfinished areas. We build that in rather than fighting the inspector at final.
